The service

Helder reads receipts and account notices in your email, shows what you spend on subscriptions, points out waste and can cancel or switch on your behalf as described below.

Your mandate to Helder

You give Helder a limited mandate to cancel subscriptions on your behalf and, with your explicit OK, to switch providers. This mandate:

• covers only subscriptions Helder found in your email;
• is proactive by default: clear waste (for example a subscription you haven't used in months, under your autopilot limit) Helder may cancel on its own;
• never applies without your OK to insurance, energy, phone and internet, to amounts above €150 a year, or when Helder isn't confident enough;
• can be narrowed by turning autopilot off (Helder then asks about everything) and revoked at any time.

Helder never enters into new paid contracts on your behalf without your explicit confirmation.

24-hour undo

After every action Helder takes on its own you have 24 hours to undo it. If the cancellation hasn't been submitted to the provider yet, we withdraw it. If it has already been processed, we help you restore the subscription, but whether that works (and on what terms) is up to the provider.

Providers and outcomes

We do our best to submit cancellations correctly and on time through the provider's official channels. We cannot guarantee how a provider responds, how quickly it processes, whether a notice period or remaining balance applies, or that it accepts the cancellation. Savings shown by Helder are estimates based on your receipts.

Your responsibilities

Use Helder only for your own email account and subscriptions, or those you are authorised to manage. Review proposals that ask for your OK before approving them.

Liability

Helder is not liable for indirect loss or for the acts or omissions of providers. Our total liability is limited to what you paid Helder in the twelve months before the loss, with a minimum of €100. This does not affect your mandatory consumer rights. (TODO: legal review.)

Price

Ending the agreement

You can delete your account at any time. Pending actions inside the undo window are withdrawn where possible.
